The first video Ki’Une did about a year and a half ago made me smile, get teary eyed, want to dance and travel the world in under 10 minutes. So, if you haven’t seen the Sunscreen video then feed your spirit and watch the video below too!
I was turned on to the amazing In The Open series by Jordan Lejuwaan of HighExistence.com. I love music, mountains and the outdoors which means I can only absolutely freakin’ LOVE In The Open!
ABOUT In The Open
We are people who love music to put it simply. Ranging from writers, designers, photographers, and cinematographers we all love music equally and want to spread as much music as possible in just about every format we possibly can.
Forewarning – Jon O’Brien “Family” definitely not the lightest of songs … but I listened to it 3 times in a row on two separate occasions and I’m about to press play again. I love it.
Equipped with his guitar and warm smile Michael Bernard Fitzgeraldtook the time to play us a song . He is currently driving his white van across the Country on tour for his album The MBF Love LP. He started in Victoria with a show at Lucky Bar and made his way across the straight to play in Vancouver at the Biltmore. We met up with Michael before the show to film a session and decided to set the couch inside the sculpture “We” by Jaume Plensa, perched at the edge of Sunset Beach. It was definitely a pleasure meeting Michael and think all of us at Green Couch can say the goosebumps weren’t just from the extremely cold february day. Don’t just take our word for it, stay tuned to hear this amazing session!

The Greencouch Sessions were partially inspired by the amazing Take Away Show series who made me fall madly in love with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. [side note, they are currently on the very unique outdoor Railroad Revival Tour with the truly phenomenal Mumford and Son's AND Old Crow Medicine show]
For me there’s something about fresh air and music that tends to equal magic! Coming across and being able to share such lovely videos, moments and sites like these is the number one reason I love the internet! For the most part about 95% of TV just numbs my brain and makes me lethargic. Online I find inspiration, motivation and share in moments of joy with strangers around the world. It’s beautiful.

One Eskimo from the UK has some beautiful songs and sweet animated videos to match the full electronic ambient sounds. I won’t go so far as to say the best music comes from the UK, but the majority of it does.
They are so easy to put up and look so awesome on the wall. I love them! As I’ve scaled down my life’s “stuff” collection it’s still nice to put some quick style in your current room. Check out the current prints for sale in my Etsy shop.
I wish Toro Y Moi would do more Tegan and Sarah remixes, it’s a BEAUTIFUL combination! It’s like a little music dream with perfect balance … by the way I LOVE IT!
I’d classify most of his stuff as dramatic ambient with Alligator being one of the faster tempos. I get a little impatient listening to it. It’s pretty but kind of like slow dub step … you just know that shit would be sooo sick speed up notch.
I dig on this video too but I think it’s more for the color grading and nostalgia then music purposes. 4th of July in Charlotte a few years back I was highly entertained shooting some bottle rockets into the lake
