Daily Photo / Dawn: When mean of reason go to bed.

Taken on New Year’s Eve 2010 at Sunset while driving home about 1 mile up the road from my December / January home in Candler, NC. I’m close to the entrance to Pisgah forest :)

The quote … among my favorites because my preferred bed time is right after dawn.

Biltmore | round 1 (pre-Spring)

4.12.2010 - from inside the Biltmore ConservatoryMy first trip to the Biltmore came over a year after living in Asheville.  It was a few days before spring really started to bloom and it was beautiful!  The Biltmore land is massive and I’m sure I’ll be back plenty throughout the seasons, so here’s round 1 of photos.

The Cold Cold Mood

So, the first snow storm and cold snap 1 month ago brought this excitement and reaction!

One Month Later … I’m just COLD … and nervous to see the heating bill.

The upside, getting a whole lot of work done! Being snowed in a majority of the time and just too cold to leave the rest I’ve been extremely productive. see my new company website YogaStudioDecor.com

Farewell to winter.

So with the start of spring in less then 24hrs let me remember everything I love about winter.

I love:  NO BUGS, long nights, getting snowed in, winter wonderland landscapes, snuggling under blankets, hoodies, great photos (see below) and ready …. here’s where I loose half my readers in 2 sentences … I love the holiday season,  even though I believe in the fairy tale that is christmas as much as I believe in Santa Claus.  I’m also pretty sure that we’re more thankful for thanksgiving then the Native American community.  BUT I do love New Year’s … love it, love it, love it!  The whole no bugs thing is really what seals the deal for me though :)

What about all the stuff I hate about winter?  Well I’m sure you can look forward to that post, let’s say late next January or maybe mid February.  I think it’s about that time that I start pulling my hair out and seriously question why I don’t reside on a beach in a hammock under a palm tree for 12 months out of the year.
