Tears of Joy
2026
11 x 15 in. Watercolor on Paper
This is the crying that comes after.
After the hard part is finally behind you. After holding it together for so long, the body finally realizes it can let go and everything comes rushing out at once.
Relief can be surprisingly powerful. It can look like tears, laughter, shaking, deep breaths, or simply the sudden feeling of being able to rest.
Tears of Joy is about that release, the moment the weight lifts, the tension breaks, and what comes pouring out is not sadness, but gratitude for having made it through.
Delicate Connections
2018
Acrylic on Bristol 11 x 14 in.
The first of the Delicate Connections Series exploring the thin thread that holds life together. Relationships, the mind & body, the more connections we form the stronger we are. This series is painted freehand from imagination and feeling.
Grow
2019
Etching on Scratchboard 5x7in.
A small but potent piece reaching for growth even when surroundings feel stifling. Delicate floral forms precisely etched into board. Fractured on the right side, a leaf explodes in a frenzied moment of emotional rupture. The quiet fight to overcome.

Resting
2024
India Ink on Bristol 5 x 8 in.
Give yourself permission to pause and restore energy. The tender necessity to allow oneself to soften and simply be. Wrapped in warmth with the stillness of hibernation and quietly gathering strength for what comes next. Because even in rest, there is movement ... a silent kind of growth happening just beneath the surface.
Wild Thoughts
2021
Ink and Watercolor
A wandering spirit finding her way through a tangled forest of ideas and emotions. Chasing possibility and unafraid of getting lost. There’s a courage that grows when you keep walking, even when the path dissolves beneath you. A reflection of transformation, wild energy shifting toward clarity. Wild Thoughts captures the untamed beauty of finding yourself mid-journey, where chaos and creation move as one.
Fire Bloom
2026
8 x 10 in.
There is a kind of fire that doesn’t burn ... it warms, awakens, and gives life.
Fire Bloom is about nurturing that inner flame: the part of us that is powerful, creative, warm, and unapologetically alive. It is the spirit learning to trust its own energy and allowing itself to move freely.
The flowing forms suggest both flame and bloom ... growth fueled by warmth, strength softened by beauty.
Fire Bloom is about becoming more fully yourself ... letting your energy rise, your confidence grow, and your spirit take up space.

Winter Sol
2020
Acrylic on Tan Toned Paper 8 x 10 in.
There’s a quiet peace in the slow rhythm of winter. The snow seems to create a gentle hush that softens the edges of the world. The joy of the crisp air and the low sun warming your face while standing in the still beauty of the season.
Out for a Walk
2019
Etching on scratchboard 5 x 7 in.
A gentle monument to the human instinct for beauty even in darkness. I needed quite, I needed to go for a walk and breathe. That was not possible in the moment so I drew myself out for a lovely walk. Many years later this piece still brings me much peace and joy. The original is mine but I do have re-creations of it in many forms available in my shop for purchase.

Caution
2025
Acrylic on Bristol paper 11 x 17 in
Exploring the seductive instability of romantic love. Bold strokes of black loop and tangle across a searing yellow field, echoing the emotional disarray and warning signals that often accompany desire. The central motif, a figure ensnared within a ribbon marked “CAUTION”, is a cry and a mirror, cautioning the viewer against the illusions of idealized love. Hearts float and fracture amid the chaos, symbols of hope pierced by experience. Warning becomes poetry in a piece that interrogates vulnerability with fearless clarity.
Beneath the Pressure
2025
Acrylic Ink on Bristol 1 1 x 17 in.
An unfiltered response to a moment of accumulated frustration, fatigue, and emotional weight. Sometimes tasks keep unraveling, interruptions will not cease, and even the smallest victories feel impossible. This is a visual record of the body and spirit reclaiming control one stroke at a time.
Raw and dynamic bold black arcs crash through the composition like crossed-out expectations. Beneath the Pressure is not an outburst, it’s a purge. And in its honesty, it reveals what many experience, Perseverance doesn’t always look graceful and it often begins as survival.
Boundaries
2025
Acrylic ink on Bristol paper 11 x 17 in.
A visual anthem for reclaiming one’s energy and power. The assertive red gestures speak to the need for fierce protection of space, while the turquoise motifs offer emototional clarity, calm and resilence. This piece reflects the beauty and necessity of say NO, not from fear but from self-respect. Created in a moment of hard -won clarity, 'Boundaries’ is a layered meditation on strength, healing, and the sacredness of one’s own internal landscape. A reminder that protecting your peace is an act of love.
Full Circle
2026
Ink on Paper 11 x 11 in.
Full Circle reflects the quiet completion of a cycle. Layered rings move outward in soft rhythmic waves, holding a sense of time, growth, and repetition. At the center, a path emerges and extends forward, suggesting movement beyond what has already been learned. The moment where experience settles into clarity, and the path ahead is met with a steadier sense of self.
There’s a trust within the piece. A willingness to step forward without needing to control what comes next and allowing the path to reveal itself as you walk it. What was once uncertain begins to feel guided. That moment where things start to click.
Wine Splash
2019
acrylic on paper 9 x 12 in.
Wine Splash is a study in fluidity, movement, and place. Inspired by the rich tones of Sonoma County’s varietals ... blush, rosé, and deep cabernet ... the piece captures the moment color is released and allowed to move freely. Poured and guided across a circular surface, the pigments settle and shift in natural currents, creating soft transitions and bold saturations. Lighter washes drift into deeper pools, echoing the way wine breathes, opens, and evolves in the glass.

Sidestep
2018
Ink on Tan Toned Paper
This piece turns a lifetime of earned insight into an elegant and restrained movement, a gesture of wisdom. Each line curves with instinct, flowing like intuition that’s been sharpened over time.
Side Step honors the power of quiet discernment. It’s about clarity and seeing the pattern emerge before the storm forms so you can step gracefully out of its path. The form, rising like smoke or dancing foliage, reflects the calm that comes from choice. It is a celebration of boundaries.
It’s not always necessary to fight. Sometimes the most powerful move is a graceful sidestep.
Undercurrent
2025
Watercolor on paper 5 x 8 in.
The invisible forces shaping change, the deep current beneath society’s surface where struggle and transformation meet.
Looking Out
2025
Alcohol Ink on Yupo 11 x 17 in.
Perched atop a mountain ridge, surveying a vast desert that stretches far beyond the frame. Rendered in layered washes of honeyed earth tones and airy sky blue, the piece evokes not just a landscape, but a feeling of stillness and scale.
A memory of the warmth of sunbaked stone beneath you, the immensity of distance ahead, and the clarity that arrives when nothing demands your attention but the horizon.
Shattered

Summit
2021
Ink on Yupo 12x12 inches
The serene, breath-catching moment at the top of a climb
While the artist openly admits she doesn't enjoy the physical act of climbing, she reveres the release and reward that follow. The descent. The shift. The view. The metaphor extends to life itself—every peak is hard-won and fleeting. But when we are fully present in those brief summits, they imprint something lasting on the spirit. Summit reminds us to celebrate the moment we stop, breathe, and look around—before the next incline begins.
Singularity
2026
acrylic on paper 12 x 9 in.
Singularity explores the idea of origin, of everything radiating outward from a single point. At the center, a dense, luminous core anchors the composition, surrounded by expanding rings of intricate pattern and detail. Each layer builds upon the last, suggesting growth, time, and the quiet unfolding of something much larger than itself.
The symmetry evokes a sense of balance and order, while the hand-drawn imperfections keep it grounded and human. It sits somewhere between the microscopic and the cosmic ... like a cell, a star, or a moment of awareness coming into focus.

FAFO
2025
India Ink on watercolor paper 12 x 16 in.
FAFO { Fuck Around and Find Out } takes the soaring form of an eagle and fuses it with a message about limits and protection. While the phrase is blunt, the meaning is clear: patience, kindness, and respect have their place, but there comes a point when strength must rise. This work speaks to the instinct to protect, whether in nature or in ourselves—and the power that awakens when boundaries are pushed too far.

Happy Days
2025
Acrylic ink on hardboard 18 x 24 in.
A time capsule of joy. Painted only outdoors on warm, sunny days when there was a feeling of light and playful ease. It is a slow, year-long accumulation, layered patiently in intervals of honest happiness. A quiet reminder that our lightest, most fleeting moments matter and that they deserve to last.

Watercolor on Yupo 20 x 26 in.
We are all born with a heart of gold. Life, love, relationships, they all take their toll and leave their mark. Some wounds we heal from and some may slowly bleed forever. Over time we become a work of art formed by life. Very few leave this earth undamaged. May the experiences of your life make your heart all the more beautiful whether it is sold or torn to shreds.

Shine Through
2023
24 Karat Gold Leaf & Ink on Paper 11x14in.
When you feel the darkness all around, find a way to shine through. This image was born in a physically vulnerable, depleted state. In the midst of that darkness, a vision appeared: a radiant symbol of inner light breaking through a heavy cloak of black. Painted through exhaustion, it became a lifeline of strength—a meditation, a soul reset.
Shine Through is about resilience and recovery. The contrast between shimmering gold leaf and deep black ink becomes a metaphor for perseverance—how even the faintest light within us can burn through the shadows. That inner flame may be dim, but it is real. And it is enough.

KIESHA JEAN 2018

This watercolor painting is rough around the edges and full of feeling, as am I. A recent intensive art study made me question and realize a lot about myself and the things I liked. I’ve focused on meticulous shapes, lines and gradients for years. Yet, the painting I loved the most were rough oil landscapes and incredible watercolor. Both had a feeling I had not yet experienced with art. So, I went back to the drawing board. I’ve had the privilege to live and travel through amazing parts of this country. There are many moments, mostly on mountain tops or in water that have left lifetime feelings with me. Those are what I wish to focus on and share now.
